The bag is comprised of four materials - leather, linen, brass and gold. The leather panels are hand-cut, beveled and burnished before being hand-stitched together using French linen thread. The central brass stud is hand-polished and plated in 24k pure gold.

Developing this pattern has been as much an engineering project as a craft one. A design such as this needs to balance firmness and flexibility so two different types of leather have been put to use. The main body of the bag is of a flexible, textured ‘bubble’ leather. The flap, welts and yoke are of a ‘bridle’ leather known for its rigidity and resilience. Combining these qualities ensures the bag bends where it should bend and only at those places.

The Pochette is released as an Open Edition and is now available for purchase on a first-come-first-served basis.
